School Details

Aseer International was founded in 1999.
It is situated in Khamis Mushayt in the mountains of the beautiful Aseer region in southern Saudi Arabia.
The school is English speaking and caters for the large international community in the region.
Currently, it follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales with Arabic and English second language.
During 200-2003 The International Primary Curriculum was introduced and was widely agreed to be a huge success.
Currently, the school rollcall has 230 children of 17 different nationalities aged between 3 and 12 years.There is already a waiting list for some grades this September.
The school offers a Summer School for six weeks - June and July, which is open to all children between the ages of 5 - 12 years. The emphasis being on improving/learning English whilst having lots of fun!!
The school has started it's accreditation progress with the European Council for International Schools/Council for International schools.
The first inspecton took place in 2003 and the next visit will be Oct/Nov 2003.
School numbers have grown considerably and the demand for places has meant the opening of a second KG1 class this year, together with another Grade III.
The school canteen proved very popular with the students and there are plans to offer a wider choice of snacks from September 2003.
The school has started classes for senior students wanting to study for the Cambridge First Certificate. These classes will be continuing in September
During 2002 - 2003 the parents formed their Parent Teacher Association under the chairmanship of James Poon.

Any mother who would like to assist in school on a voluntary basis is asked to contact the school in September

Parents who would like to put their names forward for election to the PTA committee should submit a letter in writing in September. A news letter will then be sent out asking all parents to vote on the committee.
